Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Bhanjanagar Located just on the outskirts of the city, the Vidya Mandir has a serene, sublime and calm campus with lot of trees and greenery all around. The school infrastructure has seen rapid progress in recent years. The classrooms are well-equipped for all the needs of the teachers and students. The students get to understand the basic complexities and intricacies of science and technology in the computer and science labs with the able stewardship of our trained teaching staff. The school has a library, Bastu Bhandar, garden and a large lush green playground. We have 13 CCTV cameras installed at different points in the campus. We have also introduced the unique system of bio-metric attendance in our school. Heavy duty water purifiers, furnished and well maintained lavatory systems help maintain cleanliness in the campus. Now the school has 3 buses for conveyance of the students.

Being the zonal nodal center, our school is at the forefront of successfully organizing training programmes and workshops for the teachers, Office executives, Sishu Vatika and all other academic related subjects under the aegis of the Shikshya Vikas Samiti, Odisha. It has been appreciated by all for the infrastructure facility, the ashram like environment and the hospitality it provides. Our teachers also participate in outside training and workshops to keep themselves updated with the changing times. At present, there are 64 sevabratis working in the school. They are being paid the Dakshina at the prescribed scale of the Odisha Shikshya Vikas Samiti.

The teaching staff of our school give their sincerest best to inspire and encourage the students to bring out their best. The school provides various facilities for the students to enhance and expand their knowledge and vision. Along side the classroom studies, the students here are encouraged and guided to participate in different scholastic competitions, playing indoor and outdoor games, learning music and dance, practicing Yoga and Pranayam, actively participating in social service activities etc. The students are the best ambassadors of the school, excelling in various examinations and competitions year after year. Our students have always been in the merit list of different state level scholarship tests. The success of the students in the secondary board examination every year has helped the school make a name of its own. Our school has also instituted awards to honor the top performers in the board examination for their hard work and success. The students are particularly very excited about the school scouts and guides training and have brought many laurels for the school in the Independence day and Republic day sub-divisional parades.

The Vidya Mandir is an Odia medium school and three languages - English, Hindi and Sanskrit are taught here from class-IV onward. The school is affiliated to the Board of Secondary education, Odisha and conforms to its course curriculum. It's regulated by the rules of the department of mass education, Govt of Odisha. The school is a part of the Shikshya Vikas Samiti which is the Odisha branch of the Vidya Bharati organization that operates the Saraswati Sishu Mandir Yojana in India. The school imparts value based quality education and at the same time takes care for all round personality development, good moral character of the students to make them a responsible citizen of Mother India. The school attracts students from all sections of the society, especially the weaker sections. Many students of the school have been successful in their fields in India and abroad. For all these continuous execellences, the school have been getting accolades from every corner as one of the best performing institutions.

The managing committees since its inception have toiled hard and given their best to bring the school to where it's today. The noble well-wishers of the locality have also been very supportive and provided their whole hearted support to the school in every possible way. There are still miles to go for the school to realize its full potential. The present managing committee is making all out effort to add more colour and vigour to this ever growing institution.
